I am a joung yournalist located in Bangor, Maine, currently working at the Kennebec Journal, the state capital's daily newspaper. I am working to start an online state-wide news organization in the state of Maine that will feature original reporting and analysis and leverage aggregation and community involvement to create a holistic view of the state.
I previously served as the youngest-ever editor in chief of The Maine Campus, the semiweekly newspaper at the University of Maine, and was an associate at CoPress, a startup that helped college news publications shed the shackles of proprietary content management systems by moving them onto open-source solutions.
Some of my coding credits include mainecampus.com, which I single-handedly transferred from College Publisher to WordPress and wrote a custom theme and custom functions for, and Courier, an e-mail platform for newspapers using WordPress developed using PHP.
